Rosyvelt See members fo Rosyvelt perform live Febraury 28th at The Sunset Tavern for the Ball of Wax/Hairy Candy showcase. Sam Jansons and Jeffrey
Henry will be backing up the excellent songwriting of Seth
Howard. I am sure we will have conjured
some disturbing back up band name by them.Louis
O'Callaghan, the Rosyvelt bassist, is corruntly held up
in a basement in Seattle finishing this year's solo demo album.Louis also enjoys a gift for songwriting. And we wish him luck
on his latest project.

Here
is some video from our performance 12.01.08 at a Toys for Tots Benefit
Who the hell are we? Rosyvelt began as a duo in Olympia
Washington where Sam Jansons and Jeff Henry flushed out some rudimentary
songs in a 4th Avenue basement. Their sound was typified by a loud bombastic
acoustic guitar and solid drum beats accompanied by Jeffrey's power
tenor vocals. They have since moved to Seattle, switched to baritone
guitar and added Louis O'Callaghan(The Graze) on bassand Seth Howard(Fey
Ray, The Stone Throwers) on guitar and keys. Listen here
if you want to know what we sound like.
if you must have comparisons..
I asked one of Rosyvelt's oldest fans for some comparisons and this
is what she said: "...Here are a few comparisons that I would say for sure (and
you can pretty much add the phrase "with better vocals" to
everything): Shannon Wright, the softer moments of
New Order, Sebadoh (for the bombast), Puerto
Muerto, Okkervil River.
